Wheels of Time is a partnership of museums and heritage sites in Kent developed to promote education in history and heritage among young children.
This purpose is achieved by running a scheme to encourage children, between the ages of 5 and 11, to visit museums and heritage sites in Kent.
Children participating in Wheels of Time have fun exploring Kent’s museums & heritage sites following Roamin’ Rex’s map. They collect a badge individual to each site. They can claim Roamin’ Rex’s Award Badge badges for visting 10, 20 and 30 sites and a Wheels of Time 2019 Award badge for visiting all 40 sites.
There is no charge to children participating in Wheels of Time, but the normal entry fees at the sites are payable. Some sites are free entry but ask that visitors make a donation. See site information by selecting the site from the ‘Museums’ menu above or clicking the site name on the ‘Planner‘ page.
Adults accompanying children given a Wheels of Time Badge are asked to complete our Visitor Information Form. This helps us to gauge the success of the scheme and decide how to develop it for future years. Please refer to our Privacy page for information regarding data collection and use.
